Wooden Nail art tutorial

Its time for another tutorial. This time my inspiration was wood. I like the wooden textures and all the different kinds of brown tones and pattern there is.

So here´s my wooden nails.

What you will need:

Base coat (not in the picture), Nude-, brown-, black-, red-, gold-, yellow- polish and matte top coat.

You can do this with just a bunch of brown tones also, but since I didn’t have that I mixed my own tones of brown.

031

1. Start of with base coat and your nude polish. This nude are from elf-cosmetics and this is one of my absolutely favorites among the nudes Iv’e tried.

015

2. Bring out one of your lighter brown polish or mix your own like me. I mixed dark brown with yellow and gold. Draw lines in a wooden pattern and if you doesn’t know any wooden patter you can google it and find loads of wooden textures. You have to work quite fast so the polish wont get dry and mess up your design. Another trick is to poor a small amount of polish on a wax paper, foil or paper plate and paint one nail at the time.

035

3. Next up is to take another brown polish darker to the one you just used. I mixed red, brown and gold for a more darker and red-toned appearance. Remember That the lines doesn’t have to be neat and perfect. And don’t be afraid to be a bit unsteady and shaky on your hand, that will only make it more naturally.

036

4. Now to the black part. Iv’e just added a few stripes to make a depth to the design, making it look like shadow.

037

5. To finish this of top and seal your design with a matte top coat and your done.

Hope you’ve liked this tutorial and have a nice weekend. ^.^

Looking back

I just got a little nostalgic.

Was looking through my blog posts and saw how long I have come. Have much better I have become and where I´m heading. I´m amazed of how much I have done, and where I stand at this very moment.

I had some ups and downs, but this blog actually kept me going on, knowing that I´m good at what I do. This blog has strengthen me, made me stronger and made me believe in myself.

When started this blog back in august last year I had no idea what this would mean to me. Sure, I had some monthly lacks of post, started out with an huge amount of updates and was really excited. It turned out to be a job that I wasn’t getting paid for. So I had to tone it down, making less updates and just concentrate on what I really loved. Nail art.

During this period I’ve also been sick, both in physical and mental. The mental sickness took over a lot of times and during those periods I didn’t update at all.

Overall I just want to say a  B I G  Thank You for still following me and not giving up on me, even thou my mind play tricks on me some times.

Ohh, I´ve also added a category for all the tutorials I have and for future ones.

Have a nice day ^.^

Not only nails…

I do not only do nails, I also do my hair (apperently).
I got so tired of my big messy hair that I had to do something about it. And with a hairdresser being to expensive and me never being happy with the haircut, I decided to do it my self.
Looked up some tutorials on youtube and got going.

Cartoon nails – Tutorial.

Yep, yet another tutorial up. I got such a great respond to my last tutorial I though I´d do another one.

This is a Cartoon nail art that  I’ve seen a lot around the internet. But it wasn’t until Cutepolish did them on her YouTube channel that I got hoked.

You can find her channel on YouTube here and here tutorial here. And also on Instagram: @Cutepolish.

So what you need is:
Base coat, Pink polish, Black polish, White polish and matte top coat. I’ve seen girls using other background colors for this as well, so don’t be afraid to choose yellow or blue for that purpose.

I used: Depend nr: 346 for my pink, Black and White nail art paint from kissUSA and matte top coat from ELF.

1. So start with your base coat and your base color.

The perfect nail polish

Or at least the perfect color!

Was looking for the perfect pink color for my next nail art. I didnt have to look very long. The first shop and at the first place I always look and there it was.
The perfect pink polish in a tiny 5ml bottle, standing there with friends. My love was complete, knowing I would love you more when you touch my nails.
You are just perfect!

Cherry blossom nail art tutorial

Cherry Blossom festival coming up this Saturday and to celebrate that I have made a tutorial on cherry blossom nail art.
Also did this because I´ve been away from the blog along time. I haven’t really been the best on updates or even nails of all kinds lately.
And for that reason, some amount of guilt and in real life problems I’m giving you this tutorial. ^.^

So, starting of with what you need:
Base coat, background color, nail art striper polish /or/ Striper brush, acrylic paint /or/ Nail polish, glitter nail polish, dotting tool, top coat.
121
I´ve used:
Depend base coat, Depend nr 227, Kiss Nail art paint, acrylic colors, viva la diva purple glitter polish, Nails Perfect Top coat and a dotting tool.

1.Started of with base coat and 2 layers of my background color. This is a green polish with tones of blue and glitter in it, but it was really hard to capture the beauty of it.
112

113

2. By using kiss nail art paint I started to draw the branches of my trees. This doesn’t have to be neat and perfect because, hey its trees, ever seen perfect straight branches in reality?
114

3. The I got my acrylic paint, or if you doesn’t have any, use different tones of pink, purple or mix your own by using the polishes you want. Now I started to do dots, a lot of dots. First in light pink then in a mix of light and dark pink and purple and last I used the glitter polish from Viva la Diva.
115

116

117

4. Once done with all the dotting. Apply a top coat and your done. Wihoo ^.^
( And for those of you that have unsteady hand I also have a tutorial for cleanup process right here )

I hope you all are feeling good and take care until next time ^.^

Try new things.

I’ve tried some new things with gel that I saw somewhere on the internet. Cant remeber where or when, but this idea is not mine to take credit for at all.

Started with layering gel onto nailforms and into the uv-light, then cutted the gel to squares and pressed the squares down in the pale yellow color on my nails. Ended the design with some lines and dots with acrylic paint.

Very easy, and looks better in reality because me and my camera aint friends at all at the moment.
